Poached Eggs

I like what you said about putting the eggs aside. Can we? Because of childhood "poached egg" trauma I dislike poached eggs intensely. This post made me reconsider exactly why I intensely hate them. We had a British "nanny" that made us sit there all night (not an eggageration) if that was what it took to force us to eat them. So, maybe I got my potentially erroneous impression of poached eggs from the awful DRY specimens I had to eat amongst many, many tears. In fact my tears were the probably the saving grace to get the suckers down, eventually. I wrote all this because I think you may have inspired me to actually give poached eggs a try..again...after so many years of almost throwing up at the sight of someone eating them! So, Thank You, for your words of wisdom in the egg world of food.
