Servers were hurried and portions stingy.

A review from December 20, 2012 late lunch at 2:40 pm. First of all: the atmosphere at Cuckoo's is wonderful. It is like stepping into Europe. We found the staff did not match that though. Went there for lunch. Soup came with the smallest piece of bread imaginable (stingy portion). As we split a pasta order in 1/2...server did not bring a 2nd bowl. I had to put my pasta on a bread and butter plate. The hurried, mature server shredded fresh cheese onto my partner's pasta but ran off before I could say I would also like some. Had to get up and scrape my own cheese over my own pasta using her tool that the flung onto a table while running off to serve someone else wine. The pasta was a bit like Chef Boyardee but a bit more watery. Won't be returning. Boston Pizza in Parksville has better service by far & larger portions. FAIL on Cuckoo.
