Here’s a quick coastal post. Looking at my agenda, it seems the bulk of my conferences for the next several months have been moved to Richmond. Hmm...this is all well and good, but I did enjoy the variety of things to do on my off-hours, when my conferences were held in Coal Harbour.
I’m looking for a big, brand-specific bag of mineral rock dust for my garden. The nursery folks in Kamloops advised me to check out the various feed stores for the 40 pound size bags. This is why I’m at Buckerfield’s Country Store today. (Bear with me, Buckerfield’s will be important later…)
The Cherry Pit Restaurant is a home style diner in Westbank. It is late in the morning, but any time is a good time for breakfast, no?
Sunrise Juice ($3.75)
I’m having a quick breakfast at Damien’s Belgian Waffles in Steveston Village this morning. It’s a tiny little waffle factory located in Chatham Plaza on Chatham Street. (And by “quick breakfast” I mean much, much less than two hours. This will make sense later...) It’s a bit DDE when I scan the strip mall, but once I head inside, the waffle aroma makes me forget about the exterior.
