infamous Chinese food service

Very good response to my comments earlier and a very good explanation on what to expect at 'typical' chinese establishments!! I know what you mean, I have been to lots of places in China Town's in the USA and Canada and what you said is very typical in those cities.

But we are in Kamloops and service like that is not going to be endured by the locals. I can also understand if a place is very busy but this restaurant only had three tables occupied when we were there. I won't be boycotting Victoria Oriental Restaurant mainly because I thought their food alone merit another visit and I would like to try their congee and dim sum.

I agree... they really should have chosen another name, but then again.. this used to named Good Meals Restaurant. I'm not sure which is more worse? :)
