Re: Looks Like a Huge Feast

Hi Ben!
Yes this is recently. It was mid March which is generally the most frugal time to go. The crab is quoted as $15.80, but that is the price of JUST THE CRAB. On the receipt, it lists a charge for the prep of each dish, so I included the preparation charges in with the total price per pound. I thought that the $18 price was a more true representation, than the $15.80 /lbs price.

I can understand advertising the crab price to bring in customers, but seriously, if I only wanted the crab itself, I would just go to a fish monger that usually charges less than $14 per pound. I'm not sayin' all restaurants do this...I'm just sayin' :)

The dinner satisfied 9 people. But please note: Normal people will take say an 11lb crab and order other main dishes to go with the crab, and this can feed 9 or so people well. The consensus of my dining party was to have ALL crab, with no other dishes to take up valuable space our belly.

Have you been? What are you experiences?
