Dang, that's too bad.
My Laksa was a lukewarm too. I still have hope for Chili King because it's one of the few places that’s trying to stay true to a cuisine. Also, it may be the only place that is attempting Malay food in Kamloops.

Dishes coming out sporadically are very normal. Asian cuisine doesn't follow the linear format of appetizer, main, dessert. (It doesn't matter what it says on the menu. Trust.)

Did you go to the Hillside location or the downtown locale? What dishes did you have? I too would appreciate more heat on the dishes that are specifically labeled as "hot." Do you think this is because they want to appeal to the masses?

They seem to be doing brisk business with tour groups that are bussed into town. I thought this surge of outside business may have helped Chili King's confidence of serving dishes true to form.
